Welcome to The Smallest Seed
We provide economic, educational and training opportunities for the most persecuted and oppressed populations - particularly women and children - enabling them to provide for themselves, their families, and break the cycle of poverty and oppression. As needed, we give individuals opportunities to learn a trade, attend school, loan seed money to launch small businesses, or develop local businesses so individuals can find employment. Our purpose is see individuals - formerly outcast, overlooked, and oppressed - achieve their God-given potential and become the building blocks of change in their families, communities and societies as a whole.
We recently redesigned our site and simplified our message and our information. We have had people ask us why the change. It is for three reasons – to do more to protect the identity and privacy of those we assist, to prevent manipulation of people’s feeling by saying too much about these difficult situations, and simply not to make the story about those that serve (and are served), vs. the One who sends help.
When we sat down to discuss how best to accomplish this, we simply decided to quietly work unto the Lord and leave the web for others to work through. That being said, we are happy to answer any questions you may have through a phone call or email.
